You have to unplug. Hope this helps because I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out the issue. I didn’t see any change in reliability myself between drivers. The Windows 10 x64 Device Manager showed a power state error and orange exclamation mark on the Fresco Logic controller Code I recall they used to be really crap and the general advice was to remove them and use the windows ones.
It’s probably the driver or the card doing something weird.
